People get upset and defensive when you tell them that fast fashion has devastating consequences. The answer is always ‘I can’t afford to buy sustainable clothing!’ When you think about it it doesn’t make sense, does it? Is that what poverty means in late capitalism? So we’re not rich enough to buy ethically produced goods but poor enough to ignore our responsibility to the environment we live in? The question we need to ask ourselves is maybe ‘do we really need ten pairs of jeans or a dozen of T-shirts’ and buy clothing every month? This is what we’re going to work on this month. Write ridiculous, outrageous, funny short pieces about our continued need to buy cheap clothing from brands that have got seriously dodgy business models. We’re going to write till we drop.

These workshops are packed with exercises to strengthen your writing skills, go through the elements of writing a play, network with other writers in the group, share ideas and get inspired.

During the workshop we will be making a film and taking photos that will appear later on this website and in our social media platforms. Please let us know if you don’t want to be in them.
