Gerrit Netzlaff studied music for schools with a speciality in piano in Hamburg. While he was a student he was already active as a choir director and rehearsal pianist for various choirs and singers. During his music internship at the Thalia Theater Hamburg he met composer and drummer Max Andrzejewski, for whom he would then work as a music assistant at different theatres and projects. As a composer and sound designer, Gerrit worked at the Leipziger cammerspiele and the NT Gent. He also works for the Hamburg Musical Company as music director.
